Well, here we are back in our hotel room with Olivia! What a day it has been! We started out about noon, taking a taxi to Eastern, and we hung out in the nursery for a while, helping to rock some of the newborns. From there we took a walk, getting something to eat and then going to Hyundai Department Store (kind of like Macy's). I just can't believe how expensive all the clothes and everything is here, but it was fun to look around. The basement of the department store even has an upscale grocery store. That was very interesting to see. The afternoon seemed to last forever until it would be 4:00! We headed back to Eastern, stopping to buy a houseplant for Olivia's foster mom. We actually got back a little early, and Olivia was already there! Her foster mom had her dressed up so cute. You could tell her foster mom was having a really hard time with things. She kept snuggling her so close, and she would turn her head away from us to wipe away tears. Our case worker brought in all kinds of supplies for us, and they explained her feeding schedule, etc. She said her cold is gone, so that is good! The senior Dr. Kim (93 years old) then came in the room to give a blessing as he does when every baby leaves. It was in Korean, so we have no idea what he was saying, but the foster mom just cried so hard. What a tough day for her! She said she has fostered around 30 babies total! She continued to keep snuggling Olivia, until it was time for us to go. They had a driver for us, so we got loaded in the car and drove off. Olivia never cried one time -- she fell asleep in my arms within a few minutes of driving away. It was so weird to be driving thru the busy streets of Seoul with just holding a baby in my arms! Dr. Kim actually rode with us, and the driver stopped off at a restaurant to pick up some carry-out for Dr. Kim, then we took Dr. Kim home, and then to our hotel. So, here we are in our hotel, Olivia is still asleep on the bed and we've been here probably 45 minutes or so. It will be interesting to see how she does when she wakes up. I will try to post more later!

Congratulations!! Again, I could hardly sleep wondering if you had posted pictures yet. As we went to sleep, I knew it was turning 4p.m. there, and the moment to receive Olivia was here! It is now 4 a.m. here, and with more tears of joy we are so excited to hear the good news! Sounds like everything went well. I am sure it was a very hard day for her Foster mom. We will continue to keep her in our prayers. Give Olivia a hug for us. Hope the first night goes well! Enjoy!

Here I am again with tears streaming down my face....CONGRATULATIONS!!! Couldn't wait to get up and check out your blog. Glad everything went well....she looks so adorable and at home in your arms!!!
