Good News!
Well, we found out a couple of good things today. First, it looks like Olivia's visa approval is now on it's way to the Embassy in South Korea, finally! We are hoping this means we could travel as soon as early April, but that's if everything goes smoothly. We'll have to wait and see. Second, we got a letter about Olivia's 8 month checkup which was just about a week and a half ago. Again, it's not standard to get updates, so we were pleasantly surprised! It looks like she is still very petite -- about 16.5 lbs, and 26 inches tall. Sounds like she is doing great! She has started eating baby food -- "rice gruel with mild soup, orange, baby cookies, and bread from a spoon" Sounds yummy! She still doesn't go to bed until 11 p.m., but sleeps until 8 a.m., waking once to eat, and taking 3-4 naps, each 1/2 hour. Looks like we may need to work on her sleep schedule a bit! And, it sounds like she is very active. It says she "sits and plays from crawling on her knees, pulls herself up on the furniture, cruises around it, stands briefly with her hands free, sits down again, touches anything with curiosity, tries to pick up a small object with her thumb and index finger, says 'mam' (mom) and 'ppa ppa', and 'mam mam' clearly, and murmurs a lot". I think we need to get to work on baby-proofing the house!
